The Greater Houston Area Chapter of the INS
The purpose of the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the Infusion Nurses Society is to discuss and encourage the implementation of various ways to improve patient care and outcomes. It is also our purpose to encourage the dissemination of knowledge about I.V. therapy and related topics in it's many forms and modalities. We also address the improvement of reimbursement in order to broaden and increase the level of service we can provide not only to our current patients, but, to those who will become our patients in the future.
We look also to providing a platform to network with other nurses about jobs, the latest technology and trainings. At our meetings, you will meet nurses from very different related fields; Infusion Suites, home care, home infusion, surgery, pre-op & post-op, oncology, hospitals and PICC teams.
We usually meet on the Third Thursday of most months but please check the calendar as that can change as speakers schedules change. We encourage you to come and join us for dinner and an educational presentation once. After that, we want you to join our chapter to continue to come and benefit from the meetings. Our chapter membership dues remain $30.00 per year payable by check or cash (no credit cards please). You may click on the membership link or join at the next meeting. We also encourage you to join the national Infusion Nurses Society and there is a link on this website that describes the benefits that INS national membership offers and that link will also provide an enrollment form.
